Music Program

The Gravenstein school district boasts one of the finest music and performing arts programs in Sonoma County. This year promises to be even better!

Gravenstein's exemplary program is headed by Nick Pulley.

We offer regular music instruction for every student in grades K-5. So many of our students continue their music instruction that we've created 4th grade and 5th grade bands at Gravenstein Elementary School. Students progressing to Hillcrest Middle School can participate in the 6th grade band, 7th grade band, 8th grade band and our Jazz Band.

Mr. Pulley also holds a morning Strings ensemble class at Hillcrest.

Hillcrest Jazz Band in Sacramento!
Our Hillcrest Jazz Band was invited to perform at the California Distinguished Schools award ceremony in Sacramento, and we have some photos.

Top Honors at Apple Blossom!
In 2016, the Hillcrest Marching Band again won top honors in the Apple Blossom Parade. Our flag/shield team also won first place, while our drum major took second place .
